The ninth edition of Addis International Film Festival (AIFF) is going to be held on Friday, June 12, 2015.
Critically acclaimed documentaries made by most prominent directors from across Europe and Africa will be screened during the festival, according to the organizers.
For the first time, the opening program is scheduled to take place at the National Museum drawing senior authoritative bodies from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MoCT) and guests from the film industry.
The 2015 AIFF will also deliver instructive workshop for Ethiopian young film makers. Panels on the growing film industry intertwining with the global phenomenon will also be featured in this year’s edition.
The goal of the Addis Festival, as it’s known in the city, is to raise awareness among the public on international issues, to inform, educate and question what we see. It also aims to facilitate creative, contemplative minds and to assemble filmmakers and movie lovers in a community where they can discuss their interests.
